“Fortunately, he has a better than average cast with plenty of lung power, notably Don Stansfield as the neglectful, then jealous husband.”
~ Review from the new musical “Makeover” at the Cuillo Theatre
“Don Stansfield is the top vocalist here, his high baritone first apparent as a standout from the ensemble during a spritzy Baby Baby Baby. He also glistens for the duet At Night She Comes Home to Me…”
~ From the Musical “Baby” at the Stage Door Theatre
“Stansfield is droll as the third Andrews sister in the female trio song “You Could Drive A Person Crazy” and as the sardonically dry husband in a rocky marriage “We’re Gonna Be All Right” from Do I Hear A Waltz…”
~ From the Musical Revue “Side by Side by Sondheim” at the Broward Stage Door Theatre Miami
“Stansfield and Tanner blend terrifically on “Beautiful Girls”, their robust salute to the beauties from Follies, and Stansfield get to do a bit of gender-bending to become the third Andrews “sister” on “You Could Drive A Person Crazy.”
~ From the Musical Revue “Side by Side by Sondheim” at the Broward Stage Door Theatre Miami
“Don Stansfield is able to show off his comic sensibilities in nonsensical situations, which are crowd pleasers such as his stand-in for what are usually parts sung by women in Gimmick (he was one of the burlesque babes) and in the Andrews Sisters’esque You Could Drive A Person Crazy (Company).
